Recent reports indicate that the release of Prabhas starrer The Raja Saab, originally scheduled for April 10, 2025, has been postponed, with a new release date yet to be announced. The excitement surrounding The Raja Saab, which features Prabhas in a lead role, continues to build, and there are rumours of a teaser being released over the Christmas or New Year period. However, the film’s producers have not yet issued an official statement confirming the delay.

In an official statement posted on their X (formerly Twitter) account, the film’s team shared, “#TheRajaSaab is progressing swiftly with non-stop day and night schedules. Nearly 80% of the shoot has been completed, and post-production is in full swing. Please disregard any false rumours about the teaser release during Christmas or New Year. We will officially announce any updates at the appropriate time. PREPARING A WHISTLING TREAT FOR REBEL SAAB’S ARRIVAL. Stay tuned for the teaser, coming soon to leave you spellbound!”

Further complicating matters, it has come to light that Prabhas suffered a sprained ankle while filming for another project. This injury, in conjunction with an incomplete shooting schedule for The Raja Saab, has led to the decision to delay the film’s release.
In addition to The Raja Saab, Prabhas’ highly anticipated film Kalki 2898 AD was set to premiere in Japan on December 18, 2024. However, Prabhas revealed that he would be unable to attend the premiere due to his ankle injury.

Directed and written by Maruthi, The Raja Saab is described as a blend of romance, comedy, and horror.
